5K Run

Taste of Greece 5K Run/Walk & Kids 1K Fun Run for C.A.D.E. (Children with Autism Deserve Education) - Friday, September 9, 2011

Taste of Greece 5K Run/Walk - 6:30 PM
Kids 1K Fun Run - 6:00 PM

Pick up your feet at this year's fun run! If you enjoy running or are training for another event, this is the race for you!  Bring your kids for the 1K before the race.  Challenge yourself, race a friend, stroller your child; walk or run - it's up to you - but enjoy the view whatever you do.  And afterwards, head up to the Minneapolis Greek Festival for some tasty treats!  Reward yourself with a Mythos and Gyro! The baklava is waiting for you!

Senior Day

Join us for Lunch! Special senior price - $10!  Kick off the weekend and join us at Taste of Greece on Friday, September 9, 2011 for lunch at Noon.

Hear the music, shop the “Plaka” (marketplace) and enjoy some of the best Greek food outside of Greece itself all under the big tent!

Lunch starts at NOON with a special senior price of $10.00 per person.   Schedule a tour of the church for your group and enjoy some live Greek music and dancing!

Entertainment will take place in the Great Hall and on the outside stage throughout festival hours with live music and Greek folk dancing. (Times subject to change -weather permitting)
 

Kalogerson’s Greek Band – playing inside the Great Hall Friday and Saturday, Noon–10 p.m. and Sunday, Noon–5:30 p.m.
The Levendes – playing on the Outside Stage Friday, 5:30–9:30 p.m.; Saturday, Noon – 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, Noon-5:30 p.m.
Greek Dancers of Minnesota – performing both Friday and Saturday, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. on the half hour.
St. Mary’s Hellenic Dancers - performing both Saturday and Sunday, 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. on the half hour.
