Joyce Uptown Food Shelf Food Drive

Taste of Greece and Joyce Uptown Food Shelf are joining forces to fill the shelves!  Bring 3 non-perishable food items to Taste of Greece 2010 and receive 2 free tickets (good for food and drink throughout the festival weekend.)

Joyce Uptown Food Shelf, located at 3041 Fremont Ave., S. in Minneapolis, has been serving hungry residents of southwest Minneapolis for over 40 years.

Their mission is "To distribute food to those in need with respect and dignity as an expression of the love of God."

Their services are:

* Providing clients with a 3-day supply of food once a month.
* Helping approximately 1,400 people each month,  Many of them families and elderly neighbors.
* Using donated money to purchase food at less than 20 cents per pound.
